About this program

The Alberta Bio Future, Biomaterials Pursuit sub-program was launched in November 2017. Funding requests up to $300,000 will be considered.

It is designed to expand on previous Alberta Innovates initiatives and funding in the bioeconomy.

Food, feed and pharma products are excluded from the ABF program.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • Researchers based in Alberta, and researchers elsewhere conducting bioindustrial projects with a benefit to Alberta.
  • Operating companies or industry groups based in Alberta.
